Beverage manufacturers must comply with FDA ingredient approvals and labeling requirements.
- FDA Food Facility Registration — biennial renewal required
- US FDA Agent — mandatory for all foreign food facilities
- DUNS / UFI Number — required for all FDA food registrations
- FSMA compliance — Preventive Controls or Produce Safety rule
- Biennial renewal October 1–December 31 of even-numbered years

- Sports drinks:Â electrolyte-rich beverages designed to replenish fluids lost during exercise.
- Energy drinks:Â caffeinated beverages designed to provide a quick burst of energy.
- Mocktails:Â non-alcoholic versions of classic cocktails, often made with fruit juice, soda, or sparkling water.
